The Journal bespoCE  (CE= commitment to excellence) for an innovative vocational education and training in the tailor craft

Craftsmanship, fashion and sustainability are topics that have been shaping the future of vocational training for tailors and fashion designers for years. Awareness-raising work on fast fashion and the importance of transparent supply chains is progressing rapidly, and many environmental protection measures and the safeguarding of social standards in the fashion industry are also being promoted and monitored by various regulations and laws. However, this paradigm shift requires people who continuously shape and drive the process forward.

Current trends such as digitalisation, sustainability and internationalisation are placing more and more demands on future skilled workers, causing traditional professions to undergo enormous change. This is why the tailoring trade and the textile, fashion and clothing industry also need informed, interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial and responsible professionals who think proactively, sustainably and in a networked way and who not only combat the symptoms of problems, but also get to the bottom of the causes.

This requires strong co-operation between vocational education and training, business and research in order to ensure knowledge transfer and make synergies between the respective areas available for vocational education and training.

In an age of information overload, it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain targeted information and access authentic, high-quality content. Due to the complexity of the sector, young people in training need efficient ways of gaining an overview of current topics.

The bespoCE journal, launched by the European Partnership with partners from France, Turkey and Italy, therefore contributes to forward-looking vocational training.

The journal is published quarterly.
